Mix and Match wit Class

SO, it is very easy to clash and be walking around looking like a 90's wreck when you try to mix and match different patterns. God help you if you try to add some colour in. I was watching #TheSocialctv this morning...as I do every morning (great show) and one of the topics were mixing patterns and colours together.

Well thanks to the ladies on "The Social" my pattern struggle is over! Honestly, seeing and hearing it helped wonders for me, thank God for social media. I know a bunch of you were struggling too, mmkay!

Just as they broke it down for me I have broken it down for you. Simple and easy, combining different sized patterns either big on top and small on bottom or vice versa, it can really work either way! Throw some colour in from top to bottom and your set!

Now that the season is changing and most of us are chucking..eh em..donating..the old and bringing in the new its the perfect time to add some colour and pattern to your wadrobe!

Hope this was helpful!

Mason Jar DIY!

So lately I have more than a million ideas on how I want to re-decorate my room. Changing my linens and hanging new pictures are only the start. I needed to think of a way to add some more color and function to my life. This fall Mason jars have been on the top of my DIY list of things to, well, do my self.

I am a huge fan of finding things around the house and re-purposing it giving it a new look or use. Now I didn’t just have mason jars hanging around house, luckily for me my Mom bought a case if them to better dish out her morning green smoothie (gives you so much energy but blech) .

Anyway, being a huge fan of clustered decorative pieces sitting on my side table or dresser I decided to use a jar to hold my toothbrushes. Because the jars are clear they easily blend in and add a little bit of “rusticness” to the mix (yes I made that word up).

Currently, I'm in the middle of an apartment hunt, so I cant wait to do more things with these jars. A couple coats of spray paint or wall paper on the inside can really change the look and tone of the jar making it work in any space!

Soooooo my mason jar do to list, might as well make a list of DIY’s I want to try when I move.
Bathroom storage containers for cotton balls, sponges, and q-tips I’d leave these ones clear, I have a thing for creams, blacks, and whites in my bathroom for some reason. Gives off a balanced and calming feeling."> Hang some jars under my visible kitchen cabinets I’d glue the lids to the bottom of the cupboard so the Jar can easily screw off. Great solution for little to no counter space. " SO Convenient
